If you want to increase your sales, then the Goldilocks effect is a very interesting phenomenon.

I once went to buy a property. So the property agent showed me three properties instead of one.
I said, show me just one. But he insisted on showing me three properties. First He showed a very expensive property, then a very cheap property and then a medium rated property.

So what happens is when a person shows you a very expensive thing, then your mind says, man, this is a very expensive thing, it is not affordable.

When you see a very cheap thing, then you say it is cheap, the quality is bad. But in the medium priced thing, the quality is also good and it is value for money and you immediately buy the medium rated product.

So if you are selling anything dont sell it alone because, there is nothing to compare with for the user, instead intentionally show 3 products.

All brands do it all the time. Mahindra XUV launched its car with 3 versions
The top model at 36 lakh, second model at 30 lakh, and base model at 24 lakh.

So people think that the quality or the features of the base model will be very bad because of low price, and because the top model is very expensive, So most people go for the second model priced at 30 lakhs which Mahindra also wants.

This is called the Goldilocks effect. Apply it in your business and share it with someone who may need to know this.
