The most frequently asked questions on my social media are usually something along the lines of 'Can you give me IELTS tips?'

But the truth is: tips won't help you improve your score.

Tips are really just shortcuts or useless bits of information.

You'll see thousands of articles every day on social media promising you everything if you just follow their 'quick tips'. If tips worked, we would all be millionaires with flat stomachs and a Band 9.

What WILL help you improve your score is preparing properly.

Doing so will save you time, money and ensure that you get the score you need (without failing over and over again beforehand).

Do not look for shortcuts.

Instead, you should develop a plan of action that suits your individual needs. It's as simple as that.
