Located in the western Malwa plateau, Jhabua is a predominantly tribal district, dominated by the Bhil and Bhilala communities. The district has an undulating terrain, shallow soils, and a semi-arid climate, making agriculture largely rainfed.

Jhabua’s economy is supported by subsistence agriculture, minor forest produce, and government welfare programmes. Culturally, it is known for rich tribal art, music, dance, and festivals.

📍 Khandwa District

Located in south-western Madhya Pradesh, Khandwa lies in the Nimar region along the Narmada Valley. The district has fertile black cotton soil and a sub-tropical climate, supporting crops like cotton, soybean, wheat, and pulses.

Khandwa is an important agricultural and trade centre, with strong rail connectivity and growing agro-based industries. Culturally, it reflects vibrant Nimar traditions, folk music, fairs, and festivals.
