​The IPR Cell, Manipur Technical University, successfully concluded a one-day awareness programme on “The Role of R&D and IPR in Economic Development” 📊💡

The programme was graced by the esteemed Vice-Chancellor, Prof. W. Chandbabu Singh, who addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of research, innovation, and intellectual property in driving sustainable economic growth and creating new opportunities for the youth of Manipur.

The session was gracefully introduced by Tayenjam Aerena, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, whose thoughtful and well-articulated introduction highlighted the keynote speaker’s distinguished academic achievements, expertise in economic development, and significant contributions to the field of intellectual property rights.

We were privileged to host Dr. Dhanpat Ram Agarwal, renowned economist and IPR expert, who delivered an insightful keynote address on how Manipur can leverage its intellectual capital, research capabilities, and innovative potential to foster entrepreneurship, generate employment, and accelerate regional economic development.

The interactive session inspired students, researchers, and faculty members to view innovation and intellectual property as powerful tools for transforming ideas into impactful solutions and sustainable enterprises.
