India were crowned champions of the 2026 SAFF Women's Championship after defeating Bangladesh 3- 1 in the final at Fatorda Stadium, Goa, securing their record-extending sixth regional title. The Blue Tigresses ended a seven-year wait for the trophy and reasserted their dominance in South Asian women's football.

The tournament's individual awards were dominated by Indian players. Aveka Singh finished as the Top Scorer with four goals, while Sanfida Nongrum was named the Best Player of the Tournament after her outstanding performances, including crucial goals in the knockout stages. Panthoi Chanu Elangbam received the Best Goalkeeper Award for her impressive displays throughout the competition. Meanwhile, Nepal were honoured with the Fair Play Award.

A shocking mμrder case has emerged from Mohali, Punjab, where a woman was allegedly st@bbed to death by her former partner inside a private company's office in Sector 66 on Thursday evening.

According to police and media reports, the accused, identified as Harvinder Mann alias Harry, allegedly attacked the woman, Dimple, with a kn¡fe following a dispute related to their past relationship. CCTV footage reportedly captured the incident, showing the accused repeatedly st@bbing the victim inside the office premises.

Investigators said the victim and the accused had worked together for several years and were previously in a relationship. Reports suggest they had separated around six months ago, and the accused had been attempting to reconcile with her. After the woman reportedly rejected his advances, an argument broke out, which allegedly escalated into the fatal attack.

The woman suffered multiple st@b wounds and was rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared her dead. After the assault, the accused allegedly turned the kn¡fe on himself and inflicted serious injuries in an apparent su***de attempt. He remains hospitalized in critical condition.
