Union Minister of State for Housing & Urban Affairs, Kaushal Kishore chaired a review meeting of various central govt. schemes of Thoubal District at the conference hall of DC Office Complex, Thoubal today. During the meeting, the (District Level Officers) DLOs of various dept. bring out various central sponsor schemes taken up by the departments. Speaking on Nasha Mukt Bharat Mission, Mr. Kaushal Kishore tabled drug & substance abuse issue during the meeting and contended that awareness on such issue can be included in morning prayers programs in schools so as to reduce crime rate, to improve health conditions of the society. Mr. Kishore advised all the officials to perform their duties honestly and diligently towards nation building process to achieve the target of becoming India a developed nation by 2047. He said the roadmap is to make India a global leader in the field of technology, agriculture, employment and in other fields. The meeting was attended by SP Thoubal, Jogeshchandra Haobijam, IPS, ADM, B. Lokeshor Sharma and other DLOs. Later, Mr. Kishore along with officials inspected garbage dumping site located in the district.

Biren’s Green Mission campaign, members of Yuva & Social Media Warriors of BJP Bishnupur Mandal carried out “SAVE MANIPUR” campaign with special focus on “STOP WILDFIRE”, “STOP DEFORESTATION”, “NO FOREST- NO WATER-NO LIFE” in the nearby villages of Bishnupur A/C today. The campaign was held in order to mitigate some of the woes of climate change issues which is causing dangerous and widespread disruption in nature and human beings.
