BJP MLAs' Meeting Postponed Indefinitely

A special meeting of all BJP Manipur legislators in Manipur, which was scheduled for 24th February 2025 at 2:00 PM at the residence of MLA Sapam Kunjakeswor ( ) Singh, has been until further notice. The meeting, convened by MLAs K. Robindro Singh and Kh. Ibomcha Singh, was set to discuss the political scenario following ex CM N. Biren Singh’s resignation on 9th February 2025. However, it has now been deferred due to some MLAs being unavailable for and other reasons.

On 21.02.2025, Manipur Police arrested 01(one) Akoijam Sachin Singh (27) from General Post Office, Imphal under Imphal-PS, Imphal West District for trying to parcel mail about 2.920 kgs suspected to be Ganja/Marijuana.

In c/w one viral video on social media wherein a masked personal had threatened Manipur State Forces mainly Commando personnel for arresting village volunteers, on 22.02.2025 Manipur Police arrested the accused person namely one Moirangthem Thoiba @ Olen Singh (36) from Thamnapokpi under Moirang-PS, Bishnupur District. He is an active member of KCP (City Meitei) and also a deserter of PLA.
Further, on follow-up, Manipur Police arrested another person from Imphal East District namely Saikhom Lemburs Singh @ Lemba (31) who was making the said unwarranted threat video against Police Commando. He is also a cadre of KCP (City Meitei) and has been involved in extortion and buying illegal arms for anti-social purpose. From his possession, 01(one) mobile phone and 01(one) ID card have been recovered.
It is hereby cautioned/ warned that anybody who makes/ shares/ circulates any such unfounded threats against police or security forces who are lawfully discharging their duties shall be strictly dealt with lawfully and have serious legal consequences.
