It gives us great pleasure to announce that we at JSC (Junior Science Club) are conducting our first ever 'Foundation Day', which commemorates the memory of the late Prof. KPN Murthy, former Director of CIS, who was instrumental in starting JSC and giving us all science undergraduates in CIS the opportunity to participate in fun science events and listen to talks by eminent professors and scholars on various science topics.
Starting tomorrow at 5 pm in the evening, we request everyone available to join us on this occasion, where we will be having a talk by Prof Sastry (from the Centre of Modelling, Simulation and Design, UoH) on 'Measurement Processes in Physics and Evolution of Concepts', and a hands-on-activity for all the attendees on Origami by Dr. Archana Morye (from the School of Mathematics and Statistics), the concept of the origami activity being used by researchers worldwide currently to study dark matter in physics!
We sincerely hope that all the interested youngsters wanting to do great things in the scientific field would surely attend this event and take away enriching experiences.
We look forward to seeing you all tomorrow (11th April, Monday), at the CIS auditorium, beginning from 5 pm till 7:30 pm. Have a great day!
