Craving a quick, flavorful snack? Turn those leftover idlis into a delicious Chili Idli Fry! 🔥 This Indo-Chinese favorite is super easy and packed with flavor.
Here's how to whip it up:
Slice & Fry: Cut your leftover idlis into bite-sized pieces. Pan-fry or shallow-fry them in hot oil until they're beautifully golden and crispy. Set aside.
Sauté Aromatics: In the same pan (with a little oil), add finely chopped ginger, garlic, and green chilies. Sauté until fragrant.
Add Veggies: Toss in diced onions and capsicum (bell peppers). Stir-fry on high heat for a couple of minutes until they're slightly tender but still crunchy.

Turn yesterday’s meal into today’s crispy, golden Curd-Rice Fritters! Here’s how ⬇️
👩🍳 Recipe Steps:
1️⃣ Mix cooked rice, lump-free hung curd, salt & fresh coriander in a bowl.
2️⃣ In 1 tbsp oil, fry broken cashews till golden. Set aside.
3️⃣ In the same oil, crackle mustard seeds, add a pinch of hing, chopped green chillies, mixed veggies & salt. Sauté 2 mins. Add back cashews & fried curry leaves.
4️⃣ Stir the tadka into your curd rice mix. Let the flavors blend.
5️⃣ Chill it in the fridge for 15 mins (patience = crunch!).
6️⃣ Make a smooth batter with refined flour & water. In another plate, mix powdered papad & rice flour.
7️⃣ Fold pomegranate seeds into the chilled rice mix, then shape into lemon-sized balls.
8️⃣ Dip each ball in batter ➡️ roll in papad mix ➡️ deep fry until golden brown perfection.
