Since childhood, the day of Poila Boishakh, or Bengali Nababarsho, has always been very special to us. It marks the first day of the Bengali New Year—a time for notun jama, mishtir packet , calendar and so many little joys.

We still remember how, on this day, we used to visit different shops with our boroma (grandmother) for ‘hal khata’. We would receive packets filled with a variety of sweets along with a Bengali calendar, and the excitement for those mishtir packet felt like pure happiness—as if all the joy in the world was inside them.

As we grew up, somewhere along the way, we almost forgot this beautiful ritual of ‘hal khata’ .That’s when, through our own brand, we tried to revive and bring back this tradition in our own way.

There are countless memories attached to this day from our childhood.
