In accordance with the decision made by JFROPS(Joint Forum for Restoration of Old Pension Scheme)NJCA on August 21, 2023, the Eastern Railwaymen's Union (ERMU) has announced its intention to organize a protest program throughout the Eastern Railway , aimed at raising their concerns regarding the National Pension System (NPS). The decision to hold this protest program reflects the growing sentiment among railway workers towards the NPS, and signifies the ERMU's determination to address this matter collectively. The program is expected to serve as a platform for railway employees to
voice their grievances and advocate for their pension rights.

On 2nd August 2023 at 3pm an anti-NPS meeting, led by the joint forum for restoration of Old Pension Scheme, was held at Fairley Place. Comrade Shiva Gopal Mishra (GS, AIRF), S.B. Yadav (SECRETARY GENERAL, Confederation of Central Government Employees and Workers), Com. S.N. Pathak (President, AIDEF), and Com. C. SRIKUMAR (General Secretary, AIDEF), were present as keynote speakers in this meeting.
Many comrades from ERMU, including branch, women, and youth leaders, as well as central leadership, spontaneously participated in this meeting.

On 2nd August 2023, at 3 pm, a mass meeting will be organized in front of Fairley Place under the leadership of the Joint Forum for the Restoration of the Old Pension Scheme,NJCA(JFROPS/West Bengal State Level) The meeting will be held in protest against the New Pension Scheme(NPS) of the central government.
