It all started in 2007 when 6 Estonians and a Russian started spreading this malware to earn profits from “click hijacking”, which means to earn clicks from the worldwide users and earn money, they developed this malware who enters and tampers the DNS of your PC. Once DNS has been affected, typing ebay.com in your browser will end up reaching any other website (ideally the website the hackers want you to go and click the ads).
