Breakthrough in Immunology Research

Tumour-reactive immune cells are present in the skull bone marrow of people who have brain tumours. The human brain is usually considered to be beyond the reach of most immune cells. However, analysis of people who have a type of brain tumour called glioblastoma has revealed tumour-targeting T cells in the skull bone marrow adjacent to the tumour.

Some of the characteristics of the cells hint that they’re something special. For example, their high expression of sphingosine-1-phosphate receptor 1 (S1PR1) protein, which signals to T cells to go out on the hunt, that the skull bone might serve as a reservoir for immune cells. And T cells isolated from skull bone marrow remain activated after rounds of restimulation — avoiding ‘exhaustion’, which is one of the main obstacles to immunotherapy.

A program on happy married life was being held in the college, in which some married couples were participating. The professor made a married woman stand up and asked her to write on the blackboard the names of 25-30 people whom she loved the most.
The woman first wrote the names of her family members and then wrote the names of her relatives, friends, neighbors and co-workers. Now the professor asked to delete any 5 less liked names. The girl erased the names of her co-workers. The professor asked to delete 5 more names. After thinking a little, the girl erased the names of her neighbors.

Now the professor asked to erase 10 more names. The girl erased the names of her relatives and friends. Now only 4 names were left on the board which were the names of her parents, husband and child.
Now the professor said to delete two more names from it. The girl was confused. After thinking a lot, feeling very sad, she deleted the names of her parents. Everyone was shocked and calm because they knew that it was not only the girl who was playing this game, the same thing was going on in their mind too. Now only two names were left, that of husband and son. The professor said, "Delete one more name." The girl was now frightened. After much thought and crying, he deleted his son's name.

The professor said to the girl, "You go and sit at your place." The professor looked at everyone carefully and asked, "Can anyone tell why it happened that only the husband's name remained on the board?" No one could answer. Everyone was sitting with their faces hanging.
The professor then made the girl stand up and said, "Why so? You erased the name of the person who gave birth to you and raised you so much and what's more, you also erased the name of the child you gave birth to from your womb?"

The girl replied, "Now mom and dad have grown old, after a few years they will leave me and this world. When my son grows up, it is not necessary that he stay with me after marriage. But my My husband will be my other half and support me as long as I am alive.
That's why my husband is most dear to me."

The professor and the rest of the students saluted the girl with applause. The professor said, "It is absolutely right that you can live without everyone else but you cannot live without your other half i.e. your husband. Joking is fine as long as it is fun." But every person's own life partner is the most dear to him."
