Case management of Feline Dermatophytosis in two and half years old cat.

Case via vandana from kota.

It must be said that the cat’s skin is on the front line and faces various environmental aggressions such as parasites or allergens of all kinds. The skin acts as a barrier against bacteria, temperature variations, water losses, etc. There are several major categories of skin diseases including allergies, infections and skin problems like oily skin and / or dandruff.
Skin problems : Skin diseases or dermatoses generate a high percentage of veterinary consultations. If the symptoms are general enough (itching, dandruff, irritated skin), the causes can be very diverse. Skin conditions are among the first reasons for veterinary consultations. Dermatological manifestations can be multiple: an animal that has red skin, scratches, loses hair, gives off a strong smell, has oily skin, dandruff.
Some skin diseases are benign and easy to manage. Others may require heavier support.
Allergy : It is a common problem. There are different types of allergy. Among the most common are allergy to flea bites, food allergy and canine atopic dermatitis, which is particularly common. The latter knows several risk factors including the predisposition of some canine breeds. Atopic cats can be victims of secondary skin infections, the skin, weakened, no longer playing its role as a barrier against certain microbes. An allergic cat remains so for life, unless it is desensitized, which can sometimes allow remission in rare cases. Allergy is managed through adapted medical, food and hygienic measures.Itching is one of the most common symptoms and covers many causes, from parasites to allergies, to behavioural disorders ! Skin problems must therefore be the subject of a rigorous care during which the we will gather a maximum of information and will carry out any appropriate samples and additional examinations in order to find the precise origin of the disorder.

Food & Diet
Sugar glider’s diet should contain a variety of fresh fruit and vegetables and about 1/4 of its food should have protein. They tend to prefer fruits and vegetables that have a sweet taste.

Sugar gliders should not be fed raw sugar, sugar substitutes, candy and never give your glider chocolate. If possible, all fruits and vegetables fed to sugar glider should be fresh and not canned.

Fruits & Vegetables : Fruits and vegetables you could feed sugar glider are apples, avocados, bananas, cantaloupe, carrots, sweet corn, figs, grapes, grapefruit, mangoes, oranges, peaches, pears, pineapples, sweet potatoes, and many others.

Protein Foods : Small pieces of cooked lean cuts of meat or poultry without any additional spices or sauces are good sources of protein. Hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cottage cheese, and tofu are also other protein options.

Treats : Sugar Gliders love live insects. Crickets, mealworms, and earthworms are easily attainable insects. Don’t feed sugar glider insects that have been collected outside where they may have been contaminated with pesticides. Although great sources of protein, insects should only be used as treats due to their high fat content.

Nuts are extremely popular treats with sugar gliders. The nuts should be raw and unsalted and be given out sparingly. Although loved by gliders, nuts are high in fat.

Supplements : Multivitamin and calcium with D3 supplements can help.

Water : Even though sugar gliders drink very little and get most of their water from food, fresh water should always be available for your pet. A stoppered water bottle is a great way to keep water available.

Case of The Asian water monitor (Varanus salvator) for taming.
Case via Mr.Rizky from surbaya,Indonesia.

Monitor lizards are undomesticated, because they're wild animals, regardless of whether they are captive bred or not. Certain lizard species appear to have a greater proclivity towards becoming tame, while others seem to be naturally more skittish and even aggressive.

Forced handling of monitor lizard is actually very detrimental to the taming process, which is more difficult and lengthy. It understandably creates tremendous fear within monitor lizard, and it can display this in a variety of ways including biting, writhing, defacating, and even remaining motionless (something many reptile hobbyists incorrectly interpret as tame, when in fact the lizard is actually petrified). The best method for taming a monitor lizard is to simply give it some space. Place it in its cage and don't handle it. Resist the urge to interact with it. Over the ensuing weeks (or even months), Utilize food to create a bond between you and your lizard. This does not happen overnight, so be patient.
