World No To***co Day - Pledge to Quit Smoking!
Every year, on 31 May, WHO and partners mark World No To***co Day (WNTD), highlighting the health risks associated with to***co use and advocating for effective policies to reduce to***co consumption.
If you are a smoker and have made the decision to stop smoking, here are few tips -
1. Start your first day as a non–smoker strongly.
2. Throw away lighters, cigrattes, ashtrays, etc as you do not need them anymore.
3. Make arrangements to see non-smoking friends.
4. Tackle cravings. They will become weaker within few days and you will find them easy to manage. Chewing sugar free gum or munching on carrot sticks helps.
5. Drink lot of water or fruit juices to flush out toxins.
6. Increase Vitamin C and Vitamin B intake.
7. Indulge in a hobby which makes it difficult to smoke, like swimming :-)
It looks impossible until its done. So pledge today on WNTD and quit smoking for your family and better health.
