At the “FLN: What Works – When Policy Alone Isn’t Enough & What Pedagogy Adds” summit organised by Devi Sansthan, IIMPACT’s Executive Director Preeti Munjal participated as a panelist on the theme “The Role of CSR in Foundational Literacy & Numeracy.”
The two-day Leadership Circle 5 at City Montessori School brought together visionaries, educators, policymakers, IAS officers, Members of Parliament, and leaders from the social sector — including the Hon’ble Minister of Education, Uttar Pradesh — united by a shared commitment to transforming education through meaningful learning and impactful pedagogy. The summit became a vibrant space for collaboration, reflection, and collective action toward advancing Foundational Literacy & Numeracy (FLN) under .
During the panel discussion, Preeti Munjal highlighted an important yet often overlooked aspect of FLN — the literacy of mothers. She emphasised that when mothers become active participants in the learning journey, children’s attendance, retention, confidence, and learning outcomes improve significantly. Her insights reinforced the importance of community participation and family engagement as key drivers of sustainable educational change.
