On the occasion of Rabies Awareness Month , Laxmi Narayan Trust conducted Rabies Awareness talk at Lokvishwas Pratishtan School, Dhavali , Ponda, Goa. Dr Nilesh Usgaonkar delivered the talk on Rabies, Transmission of the virus, Animals that causes rabies , Categories of bite, Incubation period of rabies virus, General measures in preventing rabies, Types of Antirabies Vaccine , Post exposure & Pre exposure Vaccination Schedule , Rabies Immunoglobulins and Monoclonal Antibodies, High risk category animals, Symptoms of Rabies. Preventive Strategies and Community Measures, Various commonly asked question regarding Rabies was discussed. Dr Nilesh Usgaonkar discussed the Law that safeguards the rights of stray animals and stray feeder.
