π Respected Principal/Manager,
Many schools are receiving the recent CBSE email regarding βMaintaining permissible number of sections in Classes IX & X and XI & XIIβ as per Circular No. 13/2025 dated 31.07.2025.
Kindly note that this is a routine communication being sent to all schools where the sections are not aligned with the revised CBSE Affiliation Bye-Laws (Appendix-V).
There is no need to panic.
CBSE has only advised schools to plan and rationalise their enrolment and ensure that the number of sections at Secondary and Senior Secondary levels are within the permissible limit from the academic session 2027β28 onwards.
You also have a two-year transition period (2025β26 & 2026β27) to make necessary adjustments.
Additionally, schools may apply for increase of sections through SARAS 7.0 when the portal opens next year, as per CBSE guidelines.
βοΈ Stay calm
βοΈ Be prepared
βοΈ Keep records updated
βοΈ Maintain sections as per revised norms when the portal reopens
If you need assistance in understanding the limits or planning section rationalisation, feel free to connect.
