The 'Sathi Team Mentoring (Pilot) Program' successfully concluded its pilot phase on October 30th, 2025 bringing together district leaders and frontline health heroes in Bhavnagar to celebrate transformative teamwork.

This one year journey, fueled by the spirit of "Sathi", has demonstrated the transformative power of mentorship in strengthening our public health workforce. From HWC staff to AYUSH MOs & Nursing Tutors, the program has bridged gaps, nurtured, and built a culture of collaborative learning across HWCs in the Bhavnagar district.

The ceremony was graced by esteemed dignitaries including Dr. Chandramanikumar Prasad (CDHO, Bhavnagar), Dr RK Sinha (MOH, Bhavnagar), Dr Aboli Gore (Advisor, JHU), Mrs. Mital Patel (Vice Principal, Nursing College, Bhavnagar), Dr Tapasvi Puwar (Professor, IIPHG), Dr. Anish Sinha (Registrar, IIPHG).

Mentors reflected on how the program enhanced professional growth, while Mentees (CHO, ANM, MPHW, ASHAs & AFs) shared heartwarming stories of reduced workplace stress, improved clinical skills, and a newfound sense of unity.

As one ASHA worker beautifully put it: "Earlier we were not working together, but now we do... It has become a comfortable and supportive learning environment."

With the success of this pilot, discussions are already underway for state-level adoption and scaling this model to strengthen health indicators.

A huge thank you to the District Health Team, Bhavnagar, State Health System Resource Centre - Gujarat, Dr Kadri, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Krishna D Rao and India Primary Health Care Support Initiative (IPSI) team for their unwavering dedication. Most importantly, we salute our Mentors and Mentees, the true backbone of this initiative for their commitment to delivering better healthcare through teamwork.

From 'working in silos' to 'working as one' - the Sathi Team Mentoring (Pilot) Program has successfully redefined teamwork in public health." 🀝✨
