SANCTUM OF TREES 2024
Nestled in a 35 acre forest in Kodiveri, this stone monolith marks a
ritual like passage through a raw steel portal and deep red concrete tunnel leading into a circular sanctum inspired by the karuvarai, the heart of Tamil temple architecture. At its core stands a baobab tree, embodying resilience and the living spirit of memory. As the tree grows, it will slowly reclaim the structure, with nature and architecture becoming one.
