High-Level Review Meeting Held in Dibrugarh to Assess Development and Flood Preparedness

Dibrugarh, July 2: A high-level district review meeting was held today at the District Commissioner's Office under the chairmanship of Assam's Water Resources and Judicial Minister and Dibrugarh District Guardian Minister, Shri Sushanta Borgohain.

The meeting was attended by Minister Shri Bimal Bora, Rajya Sabha MP Shri Terash Gowalla, MLAs Shri Prasanta Phukan, Shri Taranga Gogoi, Shri Binod Hazarika, and Shri Chakradhar Gogoi, along with Dibrugarh Mayor Dr. Saikat Patra, senior district officials, and heads of various government departments.

The Guardian Minister reviewed the progress of key government schemes and development projects across sectors, including rural development, flood management, roads, education, agriculture, health, power, social welfare, housing, forest, and animal husbandry.

He directed all concerned departments to complete ongoing projects within the stipulated timelines, strengthen inter-departmental coordination, and ensure that government welfare schemes effectively reach the public. Highlighting the current flood situation, he also instructed officials to enhance preparedness while maintaining transparency, accountability, and efficient public service delivery for the overall development of Dibrugarh district.
