Ans.Focus group discussions (FGDs) are defined as semi structured group discussions which yield qualitative data on community level by facilitating interactions between participants. It is a highly versatile and dynamic method of collecting primary data from a representative group of respondents. There are a group of carefully selected respondents who are specifically invited and gathered at a neutral setting. The aim of FGD is to facilitate interaction and thereby produce, via sn*******ng of thoughts, deeper insights.
