Council on Monuments and Sites is the National Committee of ICOMOS in India, dedicated to the conservation and protection of cultural heritage places by promoting the application of theory, methodology, and scientific techniques to the conservation of architectural and archaeological heritage.

ICOMOS India, the National Committee of ICOMOS in India, is seeking self-motivated and skilled individuals to join our team as an Executive Assistant. This is a full-time paid position designed to support the ongoing functions of the Secretariat by formalizing processes and managing day-to-day administrative tasks.

Qualifications Required:Any relevant undergraduate degree

Desirable: Degree in Museology, Architecture, Heritage Management, Conservation, Archaeology, or related fields

Skills Required: Strong written and communication skills in English, with familiarity in at least one additional Indian language.
Ability to communicate effectively via phone and email.
Basic accounting skills.

Proficiency in software: MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) – essential; Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign – desirable
Familiarity with online platforms: Social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter), Zoom, Gmail/Google Drive, etc.

Core Responsibilities:
- Manage office administration and accounts, including maintaining official records and liaising with accountants, administration, and consultants.
- Coordinate and liaise between the Secretariat and ICOMOS members/non-members on matters related to membership, engagement, events, and updates.
- Assist in the organization and management of events (meetings, seminars, workshops, conferences, and outreach programmes) and serve as rapporteur when required.
- Prepare Minutes of Meetings
- Manage ICOMOS India’s online presence through social media and website updates.
- Provide support for the organization and coordination of events.
- Assist in any other tasks assigned by the Executive Committee.
