ग्रीन पहल 🌿 | WMARS @ 18,500 Ft सियाचिन

WMARS ने Indian Army के सहयोग से Siachen (18,500 Ft) सहित 6 ऊंचाई वाले सैन्य पोस्ट्स पर Plastic Waste Compactors सफलतापूर्वक स्थापित किए — अत्यंत कठोर मौसम (-18°C) में भी!

इस पहल से दूरस्थ हिमालयी क्षेत्रों में प्लास्टिक कचरे को कंप्रेस कर ट्रांसपोर्टेबल ब्लॉक्स में बदलना संभव हुआ, जिससे 100% Recyclability का लक्ष्य मजबूत हुआ। यह Plastic Waste Management Rules 2016 के बाद पहली बड़ी उपलब्धि है।

यह चुनौतीपूर्ण प्रोजेक्ट नवंबर 2025 में WMARS के Subject Expert एवं Vice President Dr. Priyank Arya, Trainer श्री अक्षय पठानिया और उनकी टीम द्वारा सफलतापूर्वक पूरा किया गया।

इस दौरान सेना के जवानों को Plastic Waste Segregation, Recycling Techniques और Waste Supply Chain Management पर विशेष प्रशिक्षण प्रदान किया गया।

यह प्रोजेक्ट साबित करता है कि Indian Army और WMARS मिलकर हरा-भरा और स्वच्छ हिमालय बनाने की साझा प्रतिबद्धता को आगे बढ़ा रहे हैं।

WMARS (Waste Management and Recycling Society) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Army, Northern Command in Udhampur — a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to sustainable practices in remote and sensitive regions.

With the support of our CSR partner Tetra Pak, this MoU marks the beginning of a collaborative effort to establish baling machines in forward army camps across Jammu & Kashmir and Leh-Ladakh. These machines will streamline the collection, transportation, and eco-friendly disposal of solid waste, contributing to a cleaner and more efficient waste management system in challenging terrains.

3. Balloon strings can entangle and endanger birds and marine life.
5. Released balloons pollute oceans and rivers, harming aquatic life.
