Our Makers are our glory.

If handmade exists today — it is because of them.
Because of their hands.
Their patience.
Their inherited wisdom.
Their refusal to let traditions disappear.

Yet for decades, many artisans created in silence.
Their work travelled far — but their names did not.
Their craft was celebrated — but their dignity was often compromised.

They needed more than exhibitions.
They needed respect. Visibility. Fair value.

They needed a platform where:

• No intermediary controlled their prices
• No middle layer diluted their identity
• No system reduced them to anonymous suppliers

At India Craft Week, compassion met commerce.

We believed that handmade deserves not charity — but equity.
Not sympathy — but sustainability.
Not applause — but acknowledgement.

It became a space where makers could stand with pride, price their work fairly, speak their story directly, and engage with buyers without barriers.

Because when you remove intermediaries,
you restore dignity.
And when you restore dignity,
you strengthen culture.

Our makers are not vendors.
They are custodians of heritage.
And they deserve platforms that honour both their art and their worth.

Antah asti Prarambha ll अंत अस्ति प्रारंभ ll
As the name defines that the end is the beginning. Beginning of the universe for next cycle, beginning of life through seed left carelessly, beginning of peace after a war, beginning another pot after one casually dismantled. The 11th Foundation day of Craft village is a reminder to us that we are born again, again to create fresh chapters of our heritage, culture and story. This 3 day event is here for you to celebrate life through colrors and community. Craft village is also opening its new centre for various activities. Do register for workshops and exhibitions at [email protected]
