LEEP India is a central coordinating agency for the member's Capacity Building. Vision
In the medium term, LEEP India aims to ensure that at least 50 community based Institutions representing about 75,000 households become financially and operationally sustainable. Through our interventions, we aim that majority of the households associated with the CBIs are provided with products and services for
their empowerment, livelihood security and their overall wellbeing. We also aim to track the changes in the quality of lives of these households at periodic intervals. Goals
In the next five years each member Community Based Institution should be able to
• Govern itself in a democratic manner
• Provide products and services to their members, particularly youth, effectively
• Have proper management and control systems for managing its affairs in a sustainable manner
• Track changes in the quality of lives of its member households
• Become financial sustainable
• Develop and maintain linkages with the financial institutions, government and other NGOs. Core Value
• LEEP India will operate as a member owned organisation and will adhere to highest standards of democratic governance, accountability and transparency.
• The members of the SHGs will be at the center of all the activities carried out by LEEP India.
• Through a process of constant dialogue and engagement, we will ensure cooperation among member institutions for maximum benefit.
• We recognise the knowledge and wisdom at the grassroot level and will strive to enhance it through a mechanism of sharing such knowledge and wisdom.
• We will strive to apply the best practices in management for the benefit of our members.
• We will strive to always remain a learning organisation and will create an environment where constant improvement and innovation are promoted.
