My name is Joseph Sibychen, and this is not a borrowed motivational story.
This is my real journey — raw, humbling, and transformational.
I started my career as a peon.
Carrying files. Arranging chairs. Working silently in the background.
No fancy titles. No applause. No recognition.
But I had hunger — not just for money, but for growth.
While working, I observed.
I listened.
I learned.
I believed one thing early on:
👉 No role is small if your vision is big.
When others rested, I studied.
When others complained, I prepared.
When others doubted, I believed.
Cyber Security wasn’t trending back then.
Resources were limited.
Mentors were few.
Self-doubt, financial struggles, and rejection were real.
But quitting was never an option.
I invested in learning Linux, networking, security, threats, governance, and risk.
Countless nights of reading, failing, and retrying.
Slowly, preparation met opportunity.
Today, with 12+ years in Cyber Security, I’ve served as: • SOC Manager
• Deputy Information Security Officer
• Cyber Security Instructor
• Researcher & Mentor
I’ve trained government colleges, mentored thousands of students, conducted national cyber awareness programs, and served communities through NIIT Foundation CSR initiatives.
The biggest lesson?
👉 Your start does not decide your destination.
👉 Your title today does not define your future.
👉 Silent hard work always speaks louder than excuses.
To anyone feeling stuck or underestimated —
I started as a peon.
Not ashamed.
Not defeated.
But determined.
