BOAT , building on art therapy has launched Alaya , the abt course in kashmir , a course with the intent to create an arts and healing community in conflict zones . To facilitate a space for magicians , travellers , and story tellers . We have eight participants from all over .
Four are from kashmir and four from all over the country .
The images here are , us getting ready for the course , preparing the arts based kit for the participants .
It's very exciting as Boat institute for the healing Arts has launched it's training program designed specially for at risk populations including children with disability in conflict zones .This is done in collaboration with pragnyadhara , an arm of snehadhara foundation , banglore . Shopian one of the worst hit spaces in south Kashmir , building on art therapy has begun it's work with young school going students . A safe space to express for every child is a fundamental right . This the care that is needed , we all need colours in our life .
