🕉️Happy Shivratri to everyone 🌸

Most people don’t know this but Kashmiri Pandits celebrate Shivratri as Shiv-Parvati ki shaadi.🕉️
We call this day “Herath” and hamari main puja actually Shivratri se ek din pehle hoti hai.

As you guys see in all these slides, I wanted to tell you what exactly our Shivratri puja is all about.

Is din hum unki shaadi ko symbolic tareeke se, ek real shaadi ki tarah manate hain..proper rituals, bhog, sab kuch.

Shiv, Parvati, Bhairavs, aur saari divine energies ko food offer karte hain, like we’re feeding all the wedding guests. 🕉️

And then poori family saath baith ke shaadi ka khana enjoy karti hai.

Fun fact: I’m not born a Kashmiri Pandit, I’m Kumaoni (Pahadi). But after my marriage, I learned every ritual and I absolutely love Kashmiri Hindu culture. It’s just so beautiful and divine! 😇☺️
