Hyundai & TVS to Develop Electric Three-Wheelers for India
Hyundai Motor and TVS Motor have signed an agreement to co-develop electric three-wheelers aimed at the Indian market, with a focus on last-mile passenger and delivery use cases.
Under the deal, Hyundai handles design and engineering while TVS manages platform development, production, and sales in India. Local manufacturing is confirmed, with exports planned for a later stage.
The vehicle is being developed keeping Indian road conditions in mind — rough terrain, heavy daily usage, and monsoon weather. Comfort, safety, and efficiency are stated as key priorities.
