The main function of the department is to focus on educational concessions for minority Students. The Minority Cell (Minority Awareness Scheme Section) was established in the year 2013 under the aegis of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee to spread awareness about various schemes run by State Government as well as Centeral Government for the welfare of notified minority communities namely Sikh, Christian, Jain, Buddhist, Muslim and Parsis
