The Thread Ring

I get asked a lot… why do you always embroider?
The truth is, embroidery is more than a hobby for me — it’s my grounding, my therapy, my quiet rebellion against chaos.

Whenever I’m overwhelmed — sad, angry, confused, or even excited — I pick up my thread. And somehow, it rewires my brain. The world gets softer. My mind slows down. My emotions stop shouting and start breathing.

Stitch by stitch, I feel a sense of control return… not over life, but over myself. And that brings a peace I can’t explain.

Yes, it creates something beautiful in the end — but honestly, the healing happens long before the artwork is finished.

Embroidery takes me to a place where I feel safe, present, and connected with myself again.
Maybe that’s why I always turn to it.
Because some people meditate, some journal…
and I stitch my way back to myself.
