The standard floor-to-floor height for home construction in India is commonly set at approximately 10 feet, which is equivalent to about 3 meters per floor.
It's measured from the top of the ceiling slab to the top of the floor slab.
This measurement accounts for the total vertical space available between consecutive levels, considering both the height of the floor slab and the ceiling slab.
This specification is crucial in architectural and construction planning, influencing factors such as room proportions, overall building height, and the general aesthetic and functional aspects of the living space.

Calculating the built-up area of a structure involves a straightforward addition of the carpet area and the wall area.
The carpet area represents the functional and usable space within the walls, excluding structural components. This is the area where furniture and other fixtures can be accommodated.
On the other hand, the wall area includes the total surface area of the walls enclosing the structure.
By summing up the carpet area and the wall area, the built-up area is determined.
In Short, Built-up area = carpet area + Wall area
