This is a common myth that has been debunked by child development experts. In fact, research has shown that babies thrive on physical touch and affection, and that holding your baby can have numerous benefits for their emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
Babies who are held frequently are often calmer and more content, and they may cry less than babies who are left alone for extended periods. This is because holding and cuddling can help regulate a baby's nervous system and make them feel more secure.
Moreover, when babies are held and touched, it can help stimulate their brains and promote healthy development. Skin-to-skin contact, in particular, has been shown to have a host of benefits for both babies and parents, including regulating heart rate, promoting bonding, and even increasing milk production in breastfeeding mothers.
In short, holding your baby too much cannot spoil them. In fact, it can help them feel loved, secure, and supported, and promote healthy development in numerous ways. So go ahead and cuddle your baby as much as you want!
