Jorasanko Thakur Bari is the ancestral house of the first Indian and non European Nobel laureate kaviguru Rabindranath Thakur (Tagore). Built in 1784 by his grandfather Dwarkanath Tagore. It is here Rabindranath Tagore was born in 1861 and died on 7th August 1941.
