That was a very nice question by mr.dinesh deepak on that marata's entrance. Answer for your doubt:
That is by maratas only. there are 3 gopurams in that temple. 1st is MARATA ENTRANCE... 2nd is Keralandhagan gopuram. 3rd one is raja rajan gopuram. . . 2nd and 3rd are by chozhas in their period. later maratas built that marata entrance. . .
