BANK OF CHHAPRA (BOC) established, Chhapra gets its own bank.

Today the people of Chhapra started their own bank as they needed a city based bank that can keep valuable capital at home
rather than sending the money to Dalal Street.

The BOC is the only city owned bank of India.The bank, having its headquarter at Municipality Chowk Chhapra, has fifteen members in the BOC board of directors as of February 10th ,2013.
All fifteen members are permanent residents of Chhapra.

The bank has been created to facilitate economic development of the city and its people.The chairman of BOC ,in an exclusive interview with Faking news Chhapra ,said that in a couple of years the bank will open 200 branches outside Chhapra and in five years BOC will have 173 overseas offices spread over 34 countries.

As of today the bank has assets of US$ 36 billion thus making it the one of the largest banking and financial services company in India.
