Sad to hear of the passing of Bharathiraja sir.
As a teenager, films like 16 Vayathinile, Nizhalgal shaped everything I understood about emotion and storytelling. Getting to sing for his film Taj Mahal years later was one of those moments I still can’t believe was real.

Very happy to have received the 'Inspiring Young Talents' award from the team. I was pleasantly surprised when I received a call from Mr. Selvakumar from Malaysia regarding the award, since I haven't sung in Tamil over the past year—but then he mentioned the category. Working with young musical talent and their aspirations is a gratifying and joyous experience. While one doesn't work with awards in mind, the gesture, recognition and love are always wonderful. My sincere thanks to the team behind this award.

Two geniuses celebrate their birthday today. Wishing them both good health and happiness . Incidentally it’s my sister Raji’s birthday too and I wish her too happiness and health . We come from a milieu where birthdays had no significance but today’s world is different .
