1700 களில் தோன்றி பெண்களின் இருண்டகாலமான அந்நாளிலேயே வீரம் விளைவித்து ரௌத்திரம் பழக்கியர் சிவகங்கை கண்ட பேரரசி வேலு நாச்சியார்.

சிறுவயதிலேயே ஆயுதங்களை கையாள்வதில் தேர்ச்சி பெற்று குதிரையேற்றமும் வளரி வீச்சுமாய் பகைவர்களை அச்சுறுத்திய வீரமங்கை.

வேலுநாச்சியார் அன்றே பெண்களை பாதுகாக்க "பெண்களுக்கு பெண்களே பேராயுதம்" என்று முழக்கமிட்டு உருவாக்கியது தான் பெண்களை கொண்ட உடையாட் படை.

தன் கணவரை கொன்றவரை வென்று பகைமுடிக்க எரிமலையாய் வெடித்தெழுந்தார். கொரில்லா படையை கொண்டு தாக்கி... மனித வெடிகுண்டாய் குயிலியின் உயிர்த்தியாகம் எனும் வெற்றிக்கான வியூகம் வகுத்தார்.

At a very young age she was well versed in handling various weapons of warfare. She was an expert in Valari fighting and horse riding which instilled fear in her enemies.
During her time to protect women she came out with the war cry 'women are their own greatest weapon'. And assembled an all women battalion named 'udayad padai'.
She avenged her husband's death by using guerilla war strategies such as su***de bombing with the help of her confidant Kuyili. She rescued Panchoor and restored peace to her kingdom.
