This past week has been a wonderful
experience at the Lalit Kala Akademi Chennai. My paintings and installation
on view as part of the group show pertained to the fragility of time which was one of the concepts that the curator Mrs Ashrafi Bhagat wanted us to explore.

In this context, the concept of Samatvam emerges as a guiding principle, enabling the individual to maintain equilibrium amidst the vicissitudes of pleasure and sorrow.

The installation "In Search of Samatvam I and II" embodies this narrative through two sculptures, each representing a human figure – male and female – rendered in steel and anchored to a wooden base. This configuration suggests
