Gear Up and Get Ready because…

CODhER is back with a BANG!

This year, it’s not just prize money up for grabs but also coveted Internships at Delicon and GUVI !
We also have mentors coming in from Delicon, GUVI, Amazon and much more to guide the participating teams !

This edition's has an open theme wherein you could develop applications based on the given ideas OR you could come up with any fabulous products, projects or applications based upon your own ideas!

Here is a list of ideas or themes that could serve as the basis or inspiration for your hack.

1. IPL auctions - A platform for players to be auctioned, bid by 8 teams and bought by one. Each team to be allocated with equal funds using which the team should buy 11 players - 4 batsmen, 3 bowlers, 3 allrounders and 1 wicket keeper. Each player will have a base price from which the bidding starts. The system should consist of a UI with 8 teams logged in (using their credentials). Everyone gets a chance to bid for each player. A team can back out by giving an 'exit' option for a player after which they won't be able to bid for that particular player.

2. Analytical dashboard for customer feedback - A dashboard consisting of analytical graphs, insights and reports (downloadable pdf formats) from the database using firebase backend. Dashboard analytics to be done on real time data - page gets refreshed on every data modification to DB. Expecting atleast 10 different types of analysis on customer feedback data and demographics. Dummy data to be shared on the event day.

3. City Rescue: A plan to help people or get help, during any natural disaster - like the Chennai Floods.

4.Restaurant inventory management system - A web app to keep track of inventory in a restaurant. An UI to be developed for taking online orders from customers, feeding in walk-in sales/orders (by KOT) - to integrated with the inventory system to keep track of the same. Sample data to be assumed by participants.

5.Safety Alarm: To tackle the rising violence in the streets, this alarm when activated could automatically turn on the GPS and send your location to the nearest Police Station! Alternatively, you could also report any incident/accident near you!

6.Travel Woes: A guide towards the different public transports available, along with the routes, time schedule and nearest stop locations.

7.E-Waste/Waste buddy: What if you can sell/share your old plastic, paper, e-waste and pin it to collect them from your doorstep!

8.Responsible Self: An application where people can advertise excess food (or the like) and have volunteers transport it to the needy!

The RULES for the hack are as follows:

• Don't forget to bring your college ID
• Bring your own laptop if available, for your convenience
• Plagarism will not be tolerated
• Internet access will be provided
• Judges' decision is final
