Illuminating the Tollygunge Club 🖤

As part of a recent development and the collaboration with Kolkata-based architects Dulal Mukherjee and Associates, K-LiTE have completed a lighting contribution to the iconic Tollygunge Club.

This renowned country club in South Kolkata, introduced a new open-air bar extension, designed to offer members a relaxed dining and social experience within the estate’s lush surroundings. The lighting brief focused on creating a subtle, comforting ambience that would enhance member experience across indoor and semi-outdoor areas whilst remaining sensitive to the site’s architectural and heritage character.

Working closely with the design team, K-LiTE delivered a context-driven lighting scheme that balances functionality with atmosphere using a thoughtfully curated selection of luminaires used to guide circulation and add soft architectural elements whilst highlighting landscape features.

The result is a layered lighting environment that complements the architecture without overpowering it.
