Have you ever thought that we would all be locked in our houses for more than two months? But unfortunately, due to the outbreak of COVID-19, we had to be. And now the government is gradually removing the restrictions and bringing back the situation to normal. Probably what we all missed the most was shopping, dining out and partying with friends. We sure miss those candlelight dinners in cozy restaurants.

But at the same time we have many doubts about sanitization, hygiene in handling food and as a whole, our dining being safe. As much as our concern about safety, Restaurants also have the challenge to show how they care for their customers and build their trust.

So, for all the food-lovers like us, we thought out of the box and came up with innovative solutions that can make us feel safe. Launching an online menu feature can be the first step to promote contactless dining.
Already some people are working on this idea and some have even started implementing it. But do you know how much it costs? Charging thousands for just developing a digital menu. We felt it's too costly for one of the hardest-hit industries due to lockdown that used to always run on slim margins. When there is no current revenue and they have to start all over again, we wanted to contribute our share in their struggle. Features to show food items digitally are available for free. The only cost you have to incur is the "Domain name Cost" ( if you need domain name) and "Hosting Charges" (which is free for MenuCard like applications).
We feel it's okay to charge a minimal amount for the service but taking advantage of the situation and selling candy at the price of candy box is not ethical.

So, Trinity labs, a startup by the students of IIT Bhubaneswar, is going to launch its product 'Digimenu', an absolutely free digital feature for developing a digital menu card.

Our intention is to help the restaurant industry stand utilizing our knowledge in these hard times.
We are happy to pay back to the places that gave us a few best memories. We are grateful for the opportunity to utilize our skills for a social cause.
