Drop servicing and dropshipping are two halves of one whole. The only difference between the two is that drop service deals with services, while dropshipping deals with physical products. Dropshipping can be called a type of drop service, but people usually define them as two separate categories. This term is getting increasingly popular due to the limitless income possibilities. Drop service is the exchange of digital services between a drop service business and a client. The drop service business accepts the client’s order and outsources the job. Here are a few common examples: You hire a pest control service that sends a freelance rep to your home to handle your pest issues. You hire a social media marketing company that outsources your daily management to a freelancer or another agency. It is legal as long as you are upfront with your clients about outsourcing the work and the quality of the service is not compromise. Compared to traditional business models, drop servicing poses minimal risk to entrepreneurs. Since they only incur costs when clients order services, there’s no need to invest in inventory or resources upfront. It’s a business model that allows individuals to start an ecommerce business with minimal upfront costs and overhead. With the rise of online shopping, dropshipping has become increasingly popular and lucrative for many entrepreneurs. Starting a drop servicing business with little to no money is an excellent way to enter the entrepreneurial world with minimal financial risk. Drop servicing involves selling digital services such as graphic design, content writing, or social media management, and then outsourcing the work to freelancers or agencies.

To promote government initiatives on Start-up India & Make in India, BIRAC a Public Sector Undertaking of Department of Biotechnology, GoI has set up a Facilitation unit which will act as FIRST HUB to address the queries of Start –ups, Entrepreneurs, Researchers, Academicians, Incubation Centres, SMEs etc. The policies, rules and regulations are dynamic and keeping pace with the fast changing ecosystem is next to impossible for small companies and young entrepreneurs. BIRAC through its various programs is already facilitating research and innovation and to complete the 360 degree start-up facilitation, setting up of FIRST HUB is envisaged.

First Hub will be open on every first Friday of the Month at BIRAC office from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Officers from DBT, BIRAC, ICMR, CDSCO,BIS,NIB,GeM,KIHT and other relevant government organisation will be available for taking queries related to.
