We created the brand identity for Taram, a global, tech-forward textile company, rooted in Ramco values. Taram’s symbol is the letter ‘t’. It radiates five fiber-like forms that resemble waves moving upwards and beyond. Together, they represent the brand promise ‘Go Beyond’ and purpose ‘To Create Solutions that Elevate Lives’.

The waves in the symbol are interpreted in interesting ways to bring alive Taram’s values and create a layered brand language that extends from print to digital.

Our branding projects begin with a deep discovery process where we uncover brand truths. For Taram, we travelled into the heart of Tamil Nadu, to the textile town of Rajapalayam.

That’s where we saw, first-hand, Taram’s impact not just on the world of textiles, but on the culture, education, healthcare and people of the entire region.

Whether building 9 free schools, underwriting the education of 10,000+ children every year, providing homes for tribal children, growing a precious library of Vedanta literature, or building centres of meditation open to public… we realised, here is a brand that is sharing prosperity and making impact every day.

We knew this extraordinary culture had to be articulated in Taram’s brand story. That’s how we arrived at Taram’s name, its brand purpose ‘Creating Solutions to Elevate Lives’, and its promise ‘Go Beyond’.

The opportunity to work with such an authentic brand has been a privilege. And we hope we’ve successfully communicated its impact through branding!

Taram emerged as the ideal name for a global, tech-forward textile company, rooted in Ramco values. Headquartered in the textile town of Rajapalayam, the brand required a name that is international (easy to pronounce) yet contextual (has meaning locally). In Tamil, Taram means ‘quality’ and in Sanskrit ‘to go beyond’ – both meanings reinforce the brand’s core values.

Taram’s symbol is the letter ‘t’. It radiates five fiber-like forms that resemble waves moving upwards and beyond. Together, they represent the brand promise ‘Go Beyond’ and purpose ‘To Create Solutions that Elevate Lives’.
