Strengthening the capacity of Lady Supervisors is key to improving the quality of early childhood services at Anganwadi Centres.
Prajayatna recently conducted a capacity-building workshop for Lady Supervisors in Lohardaga district, redefining and strengthening their role in supporting Anganwadi Centres.
The impact has been encouragingโsupervisors have reported improved efficiency and clarity in their work. Ms. Rinky Kumari, a supervisor from Bhouro block, shared that the training deepened their understanding of child centric pedagogy, the curriculum and the importance of conducting meaningful preschool activities for children.
โThis training has increased our understanding and commitment towards ECCE in Anganwadis,โ she noted.
Strengthening frontline leadership is a key step towards improving early childhood outcomes. ๐ฑ

On March 5th, Prajayatna conducted a CSR employee engagement session with employees of Coface , where 35 enthusiastic participants came together for a meaningful and fun-filled experience.
The activity focused on creating puppets for young children, followed by developing stories and presenting group performances. Divided into teams, the employees showcased incredible energy and enthusiasmโdesigning unique puppets, crafting engaging stories, and bringing them to life through lively performances using their handmade props.
The session was filled with teamwork, excitement and laughter. Each group delivered wonderful performances while telling their stories, reflecting not just creativity but also strong collaboration.
Prajayatna truly enjoyed engaging with the group and appreciated their openness and commitment to completing tasks, and their fun-filled attitude throughout the session.
It was an inspiring experience to see professionals come together to create joyful learning materials for children!

When nutrition, care and stimulation are inadequate during this critical window, brain development can slow and physical growth may be stunted โ especially in vulnerable communities.
With the shift toward nuclear families, many women in low-income communities balance work, household responsibilities, and caregiving โ often without community/institutional support. Quality childcare facilities exist for those who can afford them, but where the need is greatest, such services are often absent.
To address this gap, Prajayatna, in partnership with Azim Premji Foundation, is launching crรจches for children aged 7 months to 3 years in low-income communities.
These crรจches will:
* Provide safe, nurturing spaces for early care
* Serve nutritious meals daily
* Identify and support children affected by malnutrition through referrals and follow-ups
Caregivers have been selected from within the community, strengthening ownership and trust. They completed a 5-day intensive training (Feb 17โ21) covering early childhood care, sleep routines, play-based learning, nutrition, hygiene, immunisation awareness, and child safety.
By investing in the first 1000 days, we are investing in stronger brains, healthier bodies, confident mothers, and resilient communities.
Because every child deserves the best possible start.
