The Buddhi Project by Design Beku is opening up a space to better understand how AI is being experienced across social change organisations and communities, its possibilities, concerns and real world implications. They’re currently gathering perspectives through a survey that will help shape future initiatives and resources grounded in evidence and lived experience, rather than assumptions.

Last week, we met Padmini, Founder and Director, and spent time in conversation around human-centred and participatory design, the role of open source and how AI and technology are shaping community contexts as coffee and the ideas carried further. Always good to see more opportunities making room for reflection, critique and shared learning.

Our friends at have a unique ability. They let us poke around the beautiful complexities and acrobatics around the nonprofit fundraising management system (FMS). We’ve been at it, building, tinkering, listening, chopping, layering, re-building, and the loop continues.

Thank you Ravitha, Sunil, Radhika and Rajashree. We (Akanksha, Yashaswi and Hazel + Dhanyashri from The Pranava Institute) have come back with at least three new “wait, but what if…” conversations to dig further.
