SayTrees
A lake reborn, a community reconnected π§
Tyavakanahalli Lake, Bengaluru, has transformed from a 1.5-acre waterbody into a thriving 12.8-acre ecosystem brought back to life through five months of scientific restoration and collective effort.
Inaugurated on 30th October alongside the Intel leadership team, Panchayat representatives, and the SayTrees team, this milestone marks more than completion it signals long-term impact. Today, the lake holds 152.66 million litres of water, supports biodiversity, and strengthens groundwater security for surrounding villages. π±
This revival is a testament to what collaboration can achieve where corporate partnership, local leadership, and community participation come together to restore nature at scale.
π With a vision to restore 500 lakes and 50 billion litres of freshwater by 2030, this is just the beginning.
