You have two sand timers with you. One can measure 7 minutes and the other sand timer can measure 11 minutes. This means that it takes 7 minutes for the sand timer to completely empty the sand from one portion to the other.
You have to measure 15 minutes using both the timers. How will you measure it ?
There are two numbers with the difference of 3 between them and the difference of their squares is 51. Can you find the numbers?
Today's puzzle:
A Jewellery shop sells earrings, pendants and rings; while there I spoke to three different salespeople.
1. The first salesperson I talked to told me any 7 earrings together with any 5 pendants have the same value as any 6 rings.
2. The second salesperson I talked to told me any 4 earrings together with any 9 rings have the same value as any 5 pendants.
3. The third salesperson I talked to told me any 6 rings together with any 3 pendants have the same value as any 4 earrings.
4. When I bought some of each kind of jewellery I found out exactly one of these salespersons was wrong.
