This week in our Iconic Architects post, we take a dekko at Antoine Predock, architect par excellence who was awarded the Rome Prize, a New Mexico Governor's Award for Excellence in the Arts, the AIA Gold Medal, a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum and in 2010, Predock was named a Senior Fellow of the Design Futures Council. This week our chosen Iconic Architect is Lord Norman Foster (21st Pritzker Architecture Prize Laureate) and founder of Foster + Partners, a practice that has received 470 awards and citations for excellence and has won more than 86 international and national competitions. One of his most well-known works is London's St. Mary's Axe - popularly known as The Gherkin.
